There are a lot of ways that you can ring in the new year, but if you’re looking for some new year’s inspiration, try these five healthy ways to celebrate the new year from your friends at Purlife!

#1 Find Something That New That You Love And Stick To It!

Celebrate the new year by finding something new that you love! Whether your new year is about achieving fitness goals, creating new experiences, finding peace of mind, or just looking for a new hobby that you enjoy, make this the year where you try something new.

If you’re strapped for ideas on what your new activity or new year’s resolution should be, some of our favorites include practicing mindfulness daily, meditation with healing crystals, eating and drinking cleaner, and bettering your work-life balance.

#2 Pamper Yourself

What better way to celebrate the new year than by pampering yourself (and your friends, of course). There are plenty of ways that you can pamper yourself, but we recommend one of two ways. You can start the new year off right by scheduling an appointment at your local spa. Indulge in some dark chocolates while you enjoy a relaxing massage or sauna. Or, you can bring the spa to you and host a pamper party for the new year. Ditch the high-heels and formal wear’ wear bathrobes, slippers, and enjoy some champagne as the clock counts down to midnight.

#3 Make Healthy Cocktails

Looking for a healthy way to celebrate the new year? Ditch the sugary mixers and heavy syrups and opt for healthy cocktails. There are plenty of great recipes online that can help you make wonderful cocktails. You can choose to drink beverages with fewer calories such as clear alcohol and use real fruit to sweeten them up! Drink responsibly, of course.

#4 Hit The Dance Floor!

If you really want to be healthy this new year, start the year off right by hitting the dance floor! Get active and dance the night away! Dancing is a great aerobic workout. A 30-minute dance can burn between 130 and 250 calories, about the same as jogging. Dancing as a form of exercise is great because it targets just about every area of your body. Work out your core, arms, legs, glutes, and back!

#5 Practice More Mindfulness

As we mentioned, practicing mindfulness is important to a healthy lifestyle. Mindfulness can change the way you think, feel, and even eat! Here are 5 different ways that you can practice mindfulness!
