Meditation of any kind comes with various benefits to our mind, body, and soul. But when combined with healing crystals, it can provide even more energy and power to help us reach even more specific aspects. Every type of crystal serves its own unique healing benefit and with the right practice in meditation, we are bound to receive its strength like none before. So, how do you meditate with crystals? Keep on reading to help you get started!
5 Steps for Meditating with Healing Crystals
1. Pick your crystals
Take the time to research the type of crystal you’d like to meditate with. There are so many healing crystals to choose from and each has its own authentic energy it brings. You want to make sure the crystal you choose will help give you the meditation experience you intend. If you don’t know where to start, quartz and amethyst are great starter crystals to have in your collection.
2. Find a quiet space
An essential part of the meditation process is finding a comfortable and quiet space you can go to. Be sure this location is calm and has no distractions that could interrupt your zen (state of mind). In addition, be sure there are no electronics or any type of technology that could potentially disrupt physical and mental energy.
3. Gently hold your crystal(s) in your hands
Once you’re in a natural, meditation position, carefully take the crystal(s) and hold them in the palm of your hands. Close your eyes and relax. You want to visualize and feel all of your intentions through the crystal specifically in your mind’s eye (Third-eye chakra located between your brows). This step will give the crystal(s) a sense of direction of where to push the energy throughout the meditation session.
4. Focus on your breathing and your intentions
Find your zen and be at peace without forcing anything. Keep your focus on your breathing and mentally scan the rest of your body so you can relax and relieve any tension in any muscles or areas. Once you are fully undisturbed and in your zen, you can center your mind on the energies flowing throughout your body and through the crystals.
5. Take your time
Make your meditation practice all about you, so take the time to do so for as long as you need. When you finally come to the end of your session, softly open your eyes and slowly bring back movement into your body, including your fingers and toes. Gradually stand when you are ready and be sure to keep your healing crystals in a safe location when you are done!
